What is a Makerspace or a Hackerspace?
A hackerspace, also known as a makerspace, is a collaborative workspace where people with common interests, often in computers, technology, science, digital art, and DIY projects, come together to share resources, knowledge, and equipment. These community-operated spaces are founded on principles of learning, exploring, and creating in a hands-on, informal environment.
The hackerspace movement is rooted in the ethos of the open-source community, emphasizing peer learning, knowledge sharing, and a "do-it-yourself" (DIY) approach.
